Perhaps the most important thing to know about our firm is that we are a genuine Michigan driver’s license restoration and DUI lawyers. We don’t just “do” license appeals - we win them because they are the focus of our practice.
Each year, my team and I handle well over 200 license appeal matters. I have been winning back driver’s licenses for my clients, and publishing license restoration articles on my blog, since long before most of the current crop of “McLicense” operations ever came online.
Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but I am the original “driver’s license restoration lawyer,” and I don’t ever intend to be second-best.
We are exceptionally good at what we do, and produce unsurpassed results. Beyond that, though, ours is a different kind of law firm in a lot of (good) ways.
Here are 4 that really stand out:
1. We publish our Fees right here, on this site.
2. We guarantee to win every restoration and clearance appeal case we take.
3. We do all of our consultations over the phone.
4. We advise that everyone be a good consumer, look around, and compare lawyers.
No other law firm lists their prices, guarantees their work, and tells every potential client to shop around while inviting them to call back to compare notes with anything some other lawyer has said.
This website is tied to my blog
- the most comprehensive resource about the Michigan driver’s license appeal process you can find anywhere. By writing and adding 2 new articles every week, I ensure that it has more useful information about the Michigan driver’s license reinstatement process than you can find everywhere else on the internet combined
It would almost be impossible to come across another Michigan lawyer who hasn’t spent time doing his or her own research within the hundreds of driver’s license restoration articles I have published there.
While some lawyers may be able to say they’ve “written the book” on some area of law or other, my blog is more like an entire library of books about license appeals - and it’s still growing.
In addition to well over 500 articles in the driver’s license restoration section
, my blog also has more over 500 DUI articles, as well, plus hundreds more about things like suspended and revoked license charges, and the Michigan criminal court process. There is simply else nothing like it anywhere.
Yet for all the self-promotion and sales pitches I could toss out, the best one I have is to tell the reader to be a good consumer, check around, talk to as many lawyers and law firms as he or she can, and then compare us with everyone else.
How many other lawyers do that?
Beyond just being a lawyer, I have also completed a formal, post-graduate program of addiction studies.
As a result of my work, my life experience, and my training, I have a thorough clinical and real-world understanding of the development, diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and substance abuse problems, as well as the many ways people recover from them.
I can say this with certainty: you will never meet any other lawyer who knows this subject like I do.
And while that’s all well and fine, what’s more important is that my team and I actually use
that knowledge to win license reinstatement cases, and to guarantee our results
We live and work by the golden rule: Treat others as you would wish to be treated. That’s why we are as transparent as possible about everything, including money, and why we publish our Fees
both here, on this site, and on my blog.
In my own life, for example, I try to avoid doing business, if at all possible, with anyone who is evasive or secretive about cost. Consequently, I wouldn’t expect anyone else to put up with those kind of gimmicks, either.
If I’m considering buying something or hiring someone, I want to know what it’s going to cost.
Although our firm doesn’t compete with anyone on the basis of price (we are a premium firm offering top-shelf services and guaranteed results), I believe that it’s only fair to be upfront about what we charge.
What’s the big secret about fees, anyway?
Moreover, our guarantee removes any risk when it comes to hiring us for a license restoration or out-of-state clearance appeal. Under it, we will stick with a restoration or clearance case before the Michigan Secretary of State until it does win.
In other words, you will only pay us once, and you WILL get your license back.
For as nice and honest as we are, though, we’re also in business to make money, and that ISN’T done by taking cases that can’t win and then having to do them all over again, for free, until they do.
Instead, we earn our livings winning these cases the first time around.
Thus, our guarantee not only protects the client from gambling his or her money on a losing appeal, it protects us from ever being tempted to take a case that isn't yet ready or that can’t otherwise be made into a winner.
Talking to a lawyer or law firm and getting information should never be difficult or intimidating.
It isn't with us; our office has always made consultations easy.
We have always done all of our consultations over the phone, during normal business hours, right when you call. My team and I are very friendly people. We’ll take your call, ready to explain the license appeal process and answer your questions.
When we speak, we will, of course, have our own questions for you, as well. We are careful in our screenings to make sure that you meet the Secretary of State's requirements for us to win your license back.
This way, we don’t waste either your time, or ours. And if it turns out that you’re not in a position to win, we’ll tell you exactly why, and what you need to do to get there.
One of the reasons we want people to call around is so that they can compare us, and our approach - the way we ask and answer questions, and how genuinely friendly and helpful we are - with any and every other lawyer or law firm.
How many other lawyers do that?
Yet while it’s great that we’re so confident in ourselves, what’s really important is that anyone looking for a lawyer actually finds one who is a good fit for his or her needs. That’s done by reading around, checking around, then then calling around.
We make it easy to do that by being available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (EST) at either 248-986-9700 or 586-465-1980.
